Services for George Richard Passmore, 81, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gene Vinson will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be, Ashley Eubanks, Max Gill, Tobie Passmore, Brannon Passmore, Adam Kube, and Randy Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Larry Price, Larry Owens, Bill Garrity, Curtis Crowe, John Rich, Leroy Mosley, B. W. Bishop, Joy Smith and Ronnie Hurst. Mr. Passmore died March 27 at his residence. Born February 14, 1926, in Brooks County, he was the son of the late David and America Sapp Passmore. On August 18, 1951, in Thomasville, he married Seville Chancey Passmore, who survives. Mr. Passmore was a retired Mechanic and Marine Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAR, DAV and Trinity Baptist Church. Other survivors include son, David Passmore of Atlanta; sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Cynthia Passmore and George and JoAnn Passmore, Jr. all of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Passmore and Ronald Johnson of Thomasville; grandchildren, Pati Eubanks, Laura Johnson, Tobie Passmore, Dana Passmore, Brannon Passmore, Sunny Jo Burns, Michael Paul Burns and Adam Kube; and 14 great-grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded Mr. Passmore in death. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the DAV, 425 Dechene Drive, Thomasville, Ga. 31757.
