George L. Tucker

Services for George L. Tucker will be held Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Smith will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Tucker passed away on June 8, 2019 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 14, 1933, George was the son of the late Reuben and Rosa Lee Tucker. He married his wife, Jeanette Erial Benton Tucker, who survives, on October 12, 1953. Mr. Tucker was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean War. He began his work career working for the family business, Busy Bee Guns and Locks Shop. He later retired from the City of Thomasville. Mr. Tucker was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Thomasville, and he enjoyed camping and fishing. His survivors include his wife, Jeanette Benton Tucker; his daughters Pamela T. Tucker of Thomasville, Ga and Janet T. Gaston (Tommy) of Thomasville, Ga; grandchildren Katie E. Gaston and Robert Gaston; his twin sister Jeanette Tucker Stephens (George) of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Reuben Earl Tucker. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service, from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Monday.
