Funeral services for Georgie Ann Elizabeth Abercrombie Jackson, 86, of Thomasville, will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ken Burgess and Pastor Robert Jacobs will officiate and internment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gary Judy, Edward Judy, Steven Cook, David Cook, Denny Cook and Brett Jackson; honorary pallbearers will be Larry Abercrombie, Gary Murphy, and Vick Murphy. Mrs. Jackson died on December 17 at home. Born February 12, 1925 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late John Stephens and Effie Leo Bobo Abercrombie. On April 18, 1942, she married the late Donald B. Jackson and they moved to Thomasville in 1956. In 1976, Mrs. Jackson opened G & S Jackson Income Tax & Bookkeeping Service, where she worked until her retirement in 2006. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and loved gardening, canning, fishing and providing services to her clients. Survivors include daughters, Donnell Vernon Cook of Cairo and Merinda Farrell Judy of Thomasville and a son Ronald Jackson of Bainbridge. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stephen and Shana Cook, Denny and Andrea Cook, David Cook, Kandee Watson, Denise and Earl Robinson, Rhonda and Jeff Davis, Brett and Sheila Jackson, Cheryl and Marty Leverett, Bart and Jan Collins, and Dana and Stephen Stewart. Other survivors include great grandchildren, Mesha Cook, Kamil Cook, Brittany Cook, DJ Cook, Haedyn Cook, Heaven Leigh Ferrel, Christopher Watson, Bryanna Watson, Isaac Robinson, Meche' Heath, Andrew Jenny Sheperd, Alexis Cooper, Alex Coward, Whitney John Vasquez, James Leverett, Eliza Leverett, Kristin Reeves and Kailee Reeves, Trevor Collins, Harry Williams, Bailey Stewart, Brandon Stewart; 2 great great grandchildren, Gabriel and Leia Vasquez and a friend and faith full worker, JoAnn Burgess. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
