Gerald Arnold Pigorish

Services for Gerald Arnold Pigorsh, 77, of Thomasville, are 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Allen Hartsfied will officiate. Mr. Pigorsh died Feb. 9, 2007 at his residence. Born March 29, 1929, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was the son of the late Arnold and Effie Woodcock Pigorsh. On May 17, 1953 at Dawson Street Methodist Church, he married Dorothy J. Godwin, who preceded him in death. Mr. Pigorsh worked for the Civil Defense Department. He was a member of Morningside Methodist Church, the Retired Federal Employees, the National Rifle Association and he served in the US Navy. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Charles Golden; grandson, Gary ?Tater? Tucker; and great-grandchild, Jason ?Peanut? Tucker.
