Gerald Claude Hunter, age 78, of Ochlocknee passed away on August 20, 2023, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 19, 1945 to the late Alvin Hunter and Lela Mae Howze Hunter. On July 12, 1998, Gerald married Pamela Louise Brinson Hunter, who survives him. He is also survived by his children Jerry Hunter (Heidi) of Largo, FL., Sherry Harrison (David) of Cairo, GA., Travis Desmore (Dewi) of Tallahassee FL., Heather Mitchell (Wayne) of Columbus, GA., Mark Upton (Leslye) of Cairo, GA., Chris Upton (Claudia) of Boston, GA.; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and brothers Larry Hunter and David Hunter. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
A service for family and friends will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday August 24, 2023 at his residence.
