Gerald Anderson Wilson

Graveside services for Gerald Anderson Wilson, Sr. of Patten will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Goff and Rev. Doug Thompson officiating. Mr Wilson passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his residence. Born on July 29, 1942 in Thomas County, he was the son of the late Henry Brinson Wilson and Mayo Kersey Wilson. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and loved farming, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Wilson was the Farm Manager for 42 years for Paul W. Bryan Farms whom he was the best of friends with. He married Martha Lowe Wilson on December 7, 1962 who survives. Other survivors include his sons Gerald A. (Jerry) Wilson, Jr and wife Stephanie, Bill Henry Wilson, Phillip James Wilson and wife Deneen; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister Vera Smith and brother Emory J. Wilson and wife Patricia. He was preceded in death by his parents along with brothers Brinson, James, Claude, Jack, Charles, and Elmer; brother-in-law Thomas Smith. In lieu of flowers his family ask that donations be made to the Salem Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Southwest Georgia.
