Graveside services for Ferrell Howell will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 11 AM at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jud Maxwell will officiate and the pallbearers will be law enforcement officials. Born December 30, 1954, he was the son of the late John Edward Howell and Aline Easter Howell. He married Judi Strickland Howell who survives, in 2010. Ferrell started singing at 16, and enjoyed his music career. He was the lead singer of the Seldom Blues Band. Aside from music, Ferrell was the Retired Chief of Police in Boston, GA, where he started Cops and Kids which is a program to help kids stay on the right track. He was also the Lead Investigator of the Atkinson County Sheriff Department, the Deputy Sheriff of the Clinch County Sherriff’s Department, and owned a store in Fargo, GA. He was a member of Fredonia Baptist Church and lived his life for Christ. This was shown through his music as he witnessed to others. He was also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, loved his family, friends, and his country. He is survived by his wife; son Bobby John Howell (Jessica) of Perry, GA, stepson Ryan Graham of Thomasville, GA, and stepson Drew Graham of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Kiley Rickard, Karissa Rickard, and Michael Geiger; siblings Wayne E Howell (Willy) of Keifer, OK, J.D. Howell (Penny) of Lake City, FL, Thomas Howell of Valdosta, GA, and Ann Hasty (Terry) of Valdosta, GA. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
