Services for Gladys Elizabeth Yates Carter, 86, of Ochlocknee are at 10:00AM on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Cooper will officiate and interment will be in Little Ochlocknee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Scott, David Brown, Wallace Leon Carter, III, Larry Carter, Wayne Meadows and Truman L. Tinsley. Mrs. Carter died July 11, 2009 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born September 24, 1922 in Washington Co, GA she was the daughter of the late Sam and Betsy Hartley Yates. She was married to Wallace L. Carter who preceded her in death. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, John F. Carter of Ochlocknee, Wallace Leon Carter, II of Marietta, GA, grandchildren, Frankie Carter, Emily Carter Singley, Johnnie Lynn Carter, Sandy L. Gottlieb, Wallace Leon Carter, III, Helen Carter, Michelle Gednek, David Brown, great grandchildren, Caleb Brown, Stephen Gednek, Katelyn, Lainey and Allison Stalvey and niece, Maureen and Cliff Champion. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Miriam C. Gottlieb. The family will receive friends from 4-6PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
