Services for Gladys Elkins Harrison of Waycross, GA, formerly of Boston, GA are at11:00AM on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Mike Keown will officiate and interment will be at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, Fl. at 4:00PM EST on Thursday. Mrs. Harrison died June 21 at the Baptist Village in Waycross. Born February 23, 1920 in Calvary, GA she was the daughter of the late Manning and Ettie Strickland Elkins. She was married to J. B. Harrison who preceded her in death. Mrs. Harrison was a member of First Newark Baptist Church and was a retired office manager at McCaskill Ford Motors in Marianna, FL. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Carolyn Harrison of Thomasville, Dan and Virginia Harrison of Texas, Ronald Chick and Mary Ann Harrison of Louisiana, sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Elmo Johnson of Havana, FL, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Robbie Grey and a brother, Thomas Elkins, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Baptist Village, 2650 Carswell Ave, Waycross, GA 31503.
