Glenda Fay Adams, a loving wife, devoted mother, and compassionate nurse, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on December 2, 2023, at the age of 72. Born on November 2, 1951, in Thomasville, GA, Glenda brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew her.
Glenda's life was one defined by dedication and a genuine care for others. She graduated from Central High School in 1969 and went on to earn her Associate's Degree in Nursing from South Georgia Technical College. Glenda's career as a Licensed Practical Nurse spanned over several decades, during which she worked at Hospitality Care Nursing Home and later at Fresenius Medical Care as a Dialysis nurse. She truly touched the lives of her patients, providing them with tender care and always going above and beyond to make them comfortable.

In addition to her successful career in the medical industry, Glenda was an active member of Gatlin Creek Baptist Church, where she found solace, joy, and a sense of community. She served alongside her beloved husband, Don, in the Circle C ministry, sharing their faith and love with others.

Glenda had a passion for cooking, baking and entertaining family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed attending painting classes, allowing her creativity to flow on the canvas, bringing beauty and inspiration to life.

Glenda leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She will be greatly missed by her surviving relatives, including her husband of 43 years, Don Adams. Glenda will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her children: Kim James (Ron), Park Adams, Brittney Crapps (Cameron), and Amanda Wallace (Tom). Her memory will also be cherished by her grandsons, Hunter James (Hannah), Sebastian James, and Wyatt Adams, as well as her granddaughter, Paisley Rose Crapps. Glenda is survived by her brother, Ralph Q. Stanaland (Kaye), sister Opal Sons, sister-in-law Kattie Pilkinton, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Glenda Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Stanaland and Thelma Griner Stanaland, her brother Wilburn Stanaland, and her sister Marlene Martin.

Funeral services for Glenda Fay Adams will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday December 6, 2023 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church, where family, friends, will gather to honor her life and say their final goodbyes. Rev. Robert Crapps and Rev. Cameron Crapps will officiate. Following the service, Glenda will be laid to rest in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Mitchell County. Pallbearer are Hunter James, Sebastian James, John Sons, Richie Pilkinton, Adam Crosby and Wayne Sinclair. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who loved her.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
