Glenda Ann Beaty Fort passed away on August 27, 2022, at Legacy Village of Moultrie. She was born April 20, 1941, to Fondley and Wilma Beaty in Pavo, Ga. She attended Pavo School and graduated from nursing school at GA Baptist. She married the love of her life, Billy Fort, on July 27, 1963. She worked as a registered nurse at Archbold Hospital and later at hospitals in Valdosta and St. Petersburg, Fl. Glenda was a caregiver in her professional and private life. She lived a life of service to others. She cared for both parents at home through terminal illnesses. She was always there for those she loved. She and her husband Billy cared for a friend for many years. Glenda loved her Scottie dogs, Sam and Bonnie. She and Billy enjoyed traveling with friends to the mountains and special trips with her nieces and nephew. She loved to try new restaurants but always enjoyed her favorite plate of BLT and hashbrowns at Bob Evans. She also enjoyed football and baseball. Glenda listened to country music artist John Denver with a favorite “Take Me Home Country Roads”. Glenda returned to those country roads in Georgia a few years before her death. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy, and brother Murray Beaty. She is survived by her brother Stanley Beaty and several nieces and nephews. Services will be graveside at 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo, Ga.
