Glenda B. Price

January 12, 1937 — September 24, 2023

Glenda Patricia Ball Price, age 86, of Thomasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia after a 6-year battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia, a type of frontotemporal dementia.
She was born January 12, 1937, in Meriwether County, Georgia, to Jewell Lee Waters Ball and John Thomas Ball.
Growing up, Glenda spent time in Quitman and Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Quitman High School in 1955 and married George Billy Price in January 1956. They made their home in Thomasville, Georgia, raising four children: Blaine Price (Joliene), Kevin Price, Latrelle Cone (David), and Christina Price (Stacy). Glenda worked for Sunnyland Foods for many years until her retirement. After retirement, she and Billy enjoyed traveling to Sanford Stadium to watch the Dogs play, usually with one of the grandchildren tagging along.
Family was her true passion, and Glenda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Not knowing the word “no,” she was always willing to read a book, throw a ball, play a game, or make a milkshake, no matter the day or time. Her family loved her Sunday lunches, especially with one of her homemade cakes as dessert.
She was the best grandma to her 10 grandchildren: Billy Price (Caroline), Matt Cone (Linsey), Tricia Feldman (Aaron), Gary Smith (Taylor), Josh Cone (Lindsey), Thomas Cone (Mary Margaret), Allyson Dodson (Eric), Ben Cone (Molly), Jacob Cone (Madison), and Doug Smith (Morgan) and she would have adored her 16 (with more to come) great-grandchildren.
In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Glenda is survived by her siblings Diana C. Lott of Orlando, J. Michael Ball of Orlando, and G. Thomas Ball (Sharon) of Winter Park, as well as, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Sandra Janet Ball.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Presbyterian Home in Quitman and Bethany Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
The family will receive friends and family at Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with services following at 2:00 p.m. Glenda’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made in memory of Glenda Price to Brain Support Network, P.O. Box 7264, Menlo Park, CA 94026, www.brainsupportnetwork.org .
