Gloria Causey Duncan, age 88, died on June 15, 2024, in Thomasville, GA. Born in Pelham, GA in 1936, Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a social butterfly who loved being an active member of Northside Baptist Church, and previously, her Rice group and Red Hatters.
She married her late husband, Ralph “Gene” Duncan, in 1954 and dedicated her life to raising her kids, cooking homemade meals, sewing clothes, and playing pinochle with friends every Friday night. She spent time working in Gene’s large garden, and they liked to fish together.
During her last few months, she had bright spirits, always joking with her doctors, nurses, and CNAs that took care of her.
She leaves behind her children, Pam Bramlett (Milton), Carol Mills (Greg), and David Duncan (Robin); her grandchildren, Jamey Wright (John L.), Hannah Gils (Ezequiel), John Gregory Mills, Christopher Duncan, and Toby Duncan; and great-grandson, Jason Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her daughter, Nancy May; parents, John and Willie Pearl Causey; and siblings, Brim Causey, Margaret Johnson, Kenny Causey, and Robert “Jabo” Causey.
Gloria was a believer in Jesus Christ, so she is celebrating in Heaven. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Allen & Allen Funeral Home at 110 W Hansell St. Thomasville, GA 31792. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are John Gregory Mills, Toby Duncan, John L. Wright, Ezequiel Gils, Johnny Mann, Keith Dollar, Bryan Davis, and Jason Wright.
