Graveside service for Gloria Jean Gainous will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 PM at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Gloria Jean Gainous passed away on December 5, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Havana, Florida on January 17, 1963, daughter to the late Joe Young Stephens and Elizabeth Harvell Stephens. Gloria was a member of Cairo Church of God. She had a loving heart and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Survivors include daughter Sherry Stephens (Lee) of Whigham; son John Reggie Gainous (Brittany) of Calvary, and Justin Gainous (Lana) of Cairo; step-daughters Carolyn and Kristenia; grandchildren Dustin and Danielle, Kyle and Lacy, Kevin, Cody, Kolby, Jayce, Kyler, Peyton and Matthew. Great-grandchildren McKenna, Gracelynn, Rosalynn, Emersyn, Carson, and Kyle Jr; sisters Patricia Trotman, Shirley Pyles, Nancy Hester, and Angel Husbands; and brothers Billy Stephens, Michael Stephens, Johnny Stephens, and Teddy Craven. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Oscar Gainous Jr., and granddaughter Kaitlyn Brianna Trotman.
