Gloria Marie (Italiano) Lawson

Gloria was born on January 13, 1934 to the late Marie and Joseph Italiano in Jersey City, New Jersey. She had older brothers Frank and Joseph, both of whom are deceased. She is also preceded in death by her son, James Stephen Lawson. Gloria lived a joyful life, one that was infectious as she spread her joy of life to others, young and old. She was an artist, a fire twirling majorette, and worked on "Wall Street" as a young woman.

She met and fell in love with a sailor, Jim Lawson, married him and had a son born in New Jersey. They moved to Thomasville and had a daughter. Then they moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in 1967 they moved back to Thomasville and lived here until their deaths.

Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ron Cubitt. Nephews and Nieces; Brad and Nancy M. Lawson and family, Shannon and Charles Balfour and family, John and Carrol Lawson, Larry Lawson, Joseph and Sharon Italiano and family, Robert and Donna Italiano and family, Susan Italiano and Geraldin Rocco, and Frank Italiano.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 11 o'clock at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Thomasville.
