Services for Gordon Wilder Singleton, Jr., 74 of Thomasville will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Robyn Hickey will officiate and interment will follow at Pelham City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeremy Hickey, Benjy Crosby, Blake Singleton, Johnny Chastain, Christopher “Petey” Crosby and Michael Smith. Mr. Singleton passed on May 1st, 2019 at his home. Born June 9th, 1944 in Gatesville, TX, he was the son of the late Gordon Wilder Singleton, Sr. and Myrtice Irene Bettison Singleton. He was married to Doris Taylor Singleton for 53 years before she passed away in July 2016. Mr. Singleton was the owner of Mobile Home Repair Service. He loved to fish and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Tony Hickey and wife Robyn of Ochlocknee, Angie Hutto and husband Kenny of Ocilla and Donald Singleton of Boston; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters Judy Singleton Hargraves and husband Horace, Diane Singleton Bohon, Nancy Singleton Phillips and husband Wynn and Faithe Singleton Lett and husband Jon. He is preceded in death by his sister Sharon Marie “Tiny” Singleton and brother in law Gerald “Jerry” Allen Bohon. The family will receive friends 6-8PM Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at the funeral home.
