Grace Jeanette Blalock

Services for Grace “Jeanette” Bright Blalock will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 4,2022, at First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville. Jeanette passed away on August 1, 2022, she was born January 19, 1932, she was 90. Born in Gadsden Alabama to the Rev. Thomas E. Bright, and Grace Bright, who proceeded her in death. Siblings Rev. Talmadge Bright, Joe Bright, and Evelyn Bright Godwin. All preceded her in death.
Jeanette married Bobby J Blalock on August 11th, 1950. She had the hardest job of any woman — a stay at home mother —and raising these four boys! Later in life was an interior decorator for Coffee Interiors then went on to volunteer at the Gift shop at Archbold Hospital. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville since 1963. She is also survived by her children, Ricky and Sue Blalock of Thomasville, Jeff and Beth Blalock of Snellville, Ga., Trent and Michelle Blalock of Albany, Ga, grandchildren, Jason and Haley Blalock of Thomasville, Leah and Austin Odom of Thomasville, Amanda Blalock of Athens GA, Jeffrey Blalock of Tallahassee FL, Chad and Natalie Blalock of Brookhaven GA, Reid, and Jessica Blalock of Brookhaven GA; great-grandchildren, Brody, Hayden, Jerrett, Josie, Kinlee, Preslee, Berkeley, Pace, Sloane, and Sutton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Bobby J Blalock, and son, Tracy Bright Blalock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville, 225 E. Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00pm, prior to service in the church fellowship hall.
