Graveside services for Judge Grace Garland of Thomasville are at 3:00PM on Friday, November 18, 2005 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Kentucky Street. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate. Judge Garland died November 15, 2005 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born July 1, 1931 in Calvary, GA she was the daughter of late Luther and Elvie Clinard Dalton. She was married for 48 years to Max Halwood Garland who preceded her in death. She was a retired Thomas County Magistrate and a retired Municipal Court Judge. She was Baptist and a member of Thomasville Women?s Club and for many years a member of the Pilot Club. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Glenda Garland of Tallahassee, FL, daughters and sons-in-law, Lucy and Mike Alley of Macon, GA, Susan and Henry Redifer of Thomasville, son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Debie Garland of Thomasville, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Matt Rogers of Canton, GA; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Dalton of Calvary, GA, John Dalton of Valdosta, GA, sisters, Ilene Whitfield of Colonial Heights, VA and Natholyn Harris of Tallahassee, FL. She was preceded in death by a sister, Laverne Tompkins. The family will receive friends at the home at 2209 Old Monticello Road, Thomasville, GA.
