Graveside services for Grady Ranson Bonner of Thomasville, Ga. will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday November 9, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo with Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Mr. Bonner died Friday November 7, 2014 at his residence. Born on October 26, 1928 in Cairo, Ga. he was the son of the late Henry Benjamin Bonner and Foster Stephenson Bonner. On July 2, 1955 in Whigham he married Katherine Ponder Bonner who survives. Mr. Bonner was a veteran of the United States Navy; he worked for many years in the parts department at Faulk Chevrolet and later worked at Cone Motors, where he retired in 1993. He was also a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. His favorite pastime was watching NASCAR, football and baseball. Mr. Bonner was very devoted to his family. Other survivors include his children, Steven Bonner and wife Patricia of Thomasville and Beth Bonner Doredant and husband Joe of Tallahassee, Fl; grandchildren, Rebecca Bonner Howell and husband Jason and Christopher Doredant and fiancé, Cynthia Neely. Also surviving is his brother, Joseph R. Bonner and wife Hazle of Thomasville and sisters-in-law Velma C. Bonner of S.C., Carolyn P. Johnson of Whigham, GA, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters, Lester Bonner, Margaret Bonner Coats, Mildred Bonner Booth, Glenn Bonner, Gwendolyn Bonner Stanaland and Emmy Jean Bonner. The family will receive friends 4-6 pm, Saturday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
