Gregory D. Bruce

Gregory D Bruce 59 of Thomasville passed away on September 4, 2018. at his residence. He struggled with many health issues after surviving cancer in 1991. Born August 20, 1959 in Thomasville. He was the son of the late Boyd and Hazel Cone Bruce, who survives. In Monticello, Fla. 1995 he married Belinda Such Bruce, who survives.
Other survivors include step-sons (who referred to him as "Heyman"), John Such and wife Randi of Thomasville. Donald Such and his fiancé' Deanna Brooks of Thomasville; two beautiful granddaughters (Who knew him as "Heypaws"),
Jadie Waine Such and Emma Grace Such; and nieces, Stephanie Martin and Stacy Licht. He was preceded in death by his brother Wyatt B. Bruce of Dalton, Ga. Greg was an avid Braves and Falcon fan. And anyone who knew him, knew what a huge Star Trek fan and animal lover he was. He worked for The City of Thomasville, Energy Control Center on Fletcher Street, for 33 years before he retired in 2012. The family is having a "Celebration of Life" at his and Belinda's home on Lawhorne Road, 1564, at 2:00pm Saturday, September 29, 2018.
All family and friends are invited to come eat, drink, and share photos and wonderful memories of Greg. While he will be missed we are comforted that he is finally at peace. The family thanks all those who have offered prayers, comfort, help and support in any way for Greg and our family.
