Services for Harold Burton of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Raymon Fernandez will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Burton died September 24, 2004 at Hospitality Care Nursing Home. Born July 12, 1922 in Thomas Co., GA he was the son of the late Herbert David and Ila Victoria Martin Burton. He was married to Bobbie Elizabeth Linson Burton who preceded him in death. Mr. Burton was a life long resident of Thomas County and a member of Dawson Street Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp during WWII and a retired dairy farmer and retired banker. Survivors include a son, Glenn Burton, daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Bob Horner, grandchildren, Ricki Blackwell, Matthew Horner, Brennan Horner, great grandchildren, Taylor Blackwell, Cole Blackwell, brother, George Wiley Burton of Shellpoint, FL, sisters, Mary Burton Knepton of Pensacola, FL, Alice Burton VanHuss of Marianna, FL., Jewell Burton Hewitt of Santa Rosa, CA., special family friends, Barbara, Tracey and Lacey Moore.
