Services for Harriet J. Scott of Pavo are at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Larry Harris will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Scott died December 20, 2004 at her residence. Born May 24, 1917 in Youngstown, Ohio she was the daughter of Harmon C. and Gertrude Miller Welch. She was married to Walter U. Scott who preceded her in death. Mrs. Scott was a retired School Counselor at Thomasville High School and a member of Pavo Baptist Church, NEA and GAE. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Walter Harmon and Sharon Scott, grandchildren, Walter Harmon Scott, Jr. of Jesup, GA., Mary Susan Scott Casey of Statesboro, GA., great grandchildren, Savannah Scott, Cierra Scott of Jesup, GA., Anna Casey, Brittany Casey, Candace Casey and Trey Casey all of Statesboro. A sister, Corrine Beard, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Vicki Lutes, P.O. Box 1999, Thomasville, GA 31799.
