Graveside services for Harry C. “Hank” Stringer, Jr, 59 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Springhill Church Cemetery in Metcalfe. Rev. Charles Parker, Rev. Milford Stanley and Rev. Jack Redfearn will officiate. Hank passed away March 3 at Archbold Hospital. Born September 14, 1954 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Harry C. Stringer, Sr and Betty Washington Stringer. He married Glenda Norton Stringer on September 10, 1977 who was the love of his life, who survives. Mr. Stringer graduated from Central High School in 1972. He cherished and loved his classmates. He was a farmer and avid gardener. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved to fish at his pond with his grandson Waylon. He loved his family and enjoyed playing baseball and softball. Hank was always friendly and never met a stranger. Other survivors include his children, Ben Stringer, Jennifer LaMarr and husband Taron and Hal Stringer all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Waylon LaMarr and Kaylee LaMarr; brother, Ken Stringer and wife Kelly of Metcalfe; sister, Janet Stringer of Thomasville and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by brother Charles Stringer. The family will greet friends at Springhill Church from 10:00-11:00 prior to the service.
