Services for Harry G. Grover, 89, of Thomasville, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 22, 2010 at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel. Father Jacek Szuster will officiate. Mr. Grover passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010. Born on January 14, 1921in New York City, he served in the military with 506 Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion from 1942-1946. He was a graduate of Duke University in 1947, and worked for Van Houton International a food products distributor in the cocoa industry. He lived in Stuart, Fla. from 1988-2004, when he relocated to Thomasville. An avid lifelong golfer, Harry played regularly well into his 80's here locally at Glen Arven Country Club. Well known for his bright and incredibly upbeat personality, his gentlemanly demeanor will be deeply missed by family and friends. Mr. Grover is survived by his wife, Pat; daughters, Patricia, Gail and Julie; stepsons, John Q, Turner and Jay Stauffer. Visitors may sign the online guest register at
