HERBERT WILLIAMS
A private memorial service will be held for Herbert Williams, 79, of Walters Oklahoma. Mr. Williams died April 13, 2009. Born August 15, 1929, he was the son of the late Harry and Lena Mae Hatcher Williams and William and Bell Spivey Williams. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Cook and a rancher. Survivors include daughters, Sandy Lady Ann Williams-Cox of DeRidder, Louisiana, Kimberly Rachel Williams-Lewis of St. George, Utah and Christy Leeann Williams-Lamb of Thomasville; son, Cherokee Miles Williams of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Martha Ann Williams-Cooke of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ethel Williams-Clinton of Tallahassee, Fla.; brother, Harry Buddy Williams, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother-in-law, William Miles of Grady County, Ga; 15 grandchildren; special friend, R. W. Thomas of Walters, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Cheyenne Lance Williams; brother, Emory Williams; sisters, Montine Williams Miles, Jessie Williams and Betty Rose Williams. In lieu of flowers the family request live plants are sent to the home of Mrs. Vera Hagan-Mitchel, 509 Old Cassidy Rd, Thomasville, Ga 31792, to be planted in a memory garden in honor of Mr. Williams.
