Graveside services for Hazel LaRue Marchant, 86, of Thomasville, are 2:00 pm, Friday, March 16, 2007 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Doug Simmons officiating. Mrs Marchant died March 13, 2007 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born November 28, 1920 in Meigs, she was the daughter of the late Snowey & Marie Carter Quick. On May 13, 1956, in Miami, FL., she married Alvin C. Marchant, who survives. She was a homemaker, a member of Dillon Presbyterian Church and a member of the Canasta Club.
Survivors include daughter Harriett Lister, of Thomasville, sisters, Daphine Reynolds, of Miami FL., Mary Ellen NeSmith, of Thomasville, Betty Ann Huber of Otto, NC, Linda Welch, of Fletcher NC, brothers, Billy Quick, Joe Quick, both of Ocala, FL., Wayne Quick, of Kissimmee, FL., grandchildren, Brenda Knight, Sandra Arnau, Pamela Lister, great grandchildren, David Hill, Byron Arnau, Samantha Duncan, great-great grandchildren, Cameron Parker, Ava Hill, Blake Arnau. A son Michael Beckham preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Guest may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
