Services for Hazel Virginia Barnett, age 98, of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Friday, January 7, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor will officiate and interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Barnett died January 4, 2005 at Hospitality Care. Born in Birmingham, AL., she was the fifth child of the late Frederick and Julia Ann Weller Schilling. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Garrett Barnett and precious mother to the late John Wesley Barnett and Dorothy Barnett Campbell. Mrs. Barnett was a long time resident of Chattanooga, TN., where she was a Red Cross Nurses Aide. After the death of her husband in 1984 she moved to Thomasville to be with family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. For the past 6 years she lived at Suites of Woodleaf among many loving friends and caring resident assistants. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dot and Roy Campbell of Thomasville; grandchildren, Sharon Campbell Fiskus and husband, Lewis of Thomasville, Leesa Campbell Bone and husband, Bill of Ft. Myers, FL., Pamela Campbell Sewell and husband, Joe of Atlanta, Virginia Sartain, Michael Barnett, Russell Barnett all of Raleigh, N.C., and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 975, Thomasville, GA. 31799. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8PM on Thursday, January 6, 2005.
