Services for Hazel Evelyn Hawkins Vonier, 90, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2008, at Northwoods Church of God. The Rev. Dan Tomberlin and Rev. Tony Clay will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Vonier died November 28, 2008 in Bainbridge. Born January 22, 1918, in Lake County, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Edith Perry Hawkins. She was married to William David Vonier, who preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Betty Weeks of Thomasville and Shirley Hicks of Lake City, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lavonia Vonier of Grady County; 13 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Vonier. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
