Helen Louise Sasser Shiver

Funeral services for Helen Louise Sasser Shiver of Meigs wil be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday November 12, 2002 at Meigs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Alligood officiating. Interment will be in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Mrs. Shiver died November 10, 2002 at her residence. She was born on February 25, 1905 in Thomas County to the late Howard Sasser & Lila Barnes Sasser. She was a homemaker and a member of Meigs Baptist Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband Edward K. Shiver, her son Fred Shiver, sisters Lila Mills and Vivian Mason, brother Earl Sasser, son-in-laws Luther Taylor and Woodrow Griffin. She is survived by daughters Dorothy Griffin of Ochlocknee and Martha Taylor of Albany, grandson and wife Jimmy & Pam Taylor of Albany, granddaughters & husbands Jean & Frank Carter of Woodstock, Georga & Layne Richardson of Ochlocknee, Gail & Jim Barton of Valdosta, Granddaughter Julie Taylor of Albany, 9 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, Sister Inez Smith of Pelham. Several nieces and nephews. She was a good loving Christian woman who put God and her family first. She was loved by many.
