Funeral services for Helen L. Maynard, 89, of Thomasville will be 11:00AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home’s Chapel. Father Dwayne Varas will officiate and interment will be at Laurel Hill. Mrs. Maynard passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born November 13, 1928 in Brunswick, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Briggs and Edna Briggs. She was married to Arnold (Art) Louis Maynard for 50 years. Helen was a social worker in Florida, and she did private sitting. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, where she served as an Altar Guild. Survivors include her children, Arlene Ella Huneau and her husband David of Thomasville, GA, Arnold L. Maynard, Jr. of Coral Springs, FL, Christine (Chris) Ann Marsh and husband Paul of Thomasville, GA, Helene Edna Dickerson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph Lee Maynard and wife Kathy of Clearwater, Florida, and Daniel Ray Maynard of Thomasville, GA; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-children; sister, Juanita (Nita) Budlong of Clearwater, Florida; and brother Malcolm Briggs of Miami, Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert Eugine Briggs; and sisters, Ruby Sloan, and Dorothy Roberts.
