Henry Louis Asbell

Services for Henry Louis Asbell, 81 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Nichols will officiate and interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Asbell passed away March 9 at Archbold Hospital. Born October 24, 1932 in Cairo, he was the son of the late Louis F. Asbell and Johnnie Dixon Asbell. He was married to Dorothy Virginia Asbell who also preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Asbell was a manager for Skinner Furniture where he retired and was a truck driver for Sing Oil. He was a member of the Cairo Country Club where he enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He is survived by his sons, Eddie Asbell and wife Julie, Tim Asbell all of Thomasville, Bob Asbell of Summerville, SC and David Asbell of Thomasville; grandchildren, Kim & Al Jordan, Louis & April Asbell, Heather & Shawn Gray, Mike Asbell, Robbie Asbell, Christopher Asbell, Neil Asbell, Erica Asbell and Luke Asbell; 8 great grandchildren; brother, James Asbell of Cairo. He was preceded in death by brother, Wilmer Asbell and sister, Juanita Bush. The family will receive friends 10-11 before the service in the Chapel.
