Services for Henry ?Grady? Powell of Valdosta are at 11:00AM on Monday, November 21, 2005 at Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church. The Rev. Phil West will officiate and interment will be in Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Powell died November 17 at Fellowship Home in Valdosta, GA. Born March 26, 1918 in Thomas Co., GA. he was the son of the late Lovick Pearson and Mary Louise Bannister Powell. On October 8, 1939 in Monticello, Fl he married Bonnie ?Duane? Singletary who preceded him in death. Mr. Powell was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Valdosta and was a retired grocery store manager. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Powell Mead of Valdosta; grandsons, Grady Chance Daniels of Valdosta, Christopher Sean Powell and wife Robin of Hahira, GA; brother, J. P. Powell of Albany, GA, sister, Montine Robertson of Virginia and special friend, Frances Dees of Valdosta. A son, Arnold Bert Powell, grandson, Todd Dutton and several brothers preceded him in death.
