Henry Jerry Hurst

Funeral services for Henry Jerry Hurst of Ochlocknee will be held Monday, September 20, 2004 at 2:00pm at Ochlocknee Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will be in the family cemetery. Mr. Hurst died Friday, September 17, 2004 at his residence. Born September 30, 1943 in Thomas County, He was the son of the late H.D. Short Hurst and Alpha Carter Hurst. Mr. Hurst was employed by Coats America for 39 years and a member of the Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Denise Hurst Edgin of Crestview, Fl; a son, Dale Hurst of Ochlocknee; and a daughter, Donna Hurst Hendley of Leesburg; a brother, Thomas Hurst of Jacksonville, Fl; a sister, Betty Hurst Hobbs of Ochlocknee; and a sister, Inez Hurst Key of Ochlocknee, 6 Grandchildren, and niece Amy and Terry Henderson and children Dallas and Dillion all of Ochlocknee. A brother, Leon Hurst, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3pm to 5pm. Pallbearers will be Al Hurst, Ricky Palmer, Jeff Hobbs, Emory Spivey, Buddy Stanaland and Timmy Watson. Honorary are Gene Duncan, Ricky Barfield, W.C.
