Herman Griffin

Graveside services for Herman T. Griffin of Ochlocknee will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Little Ochlocknee Cemetery, with the Rev. Nathan Fowler officiating. Born May 20th, 1942 , he was the son of the late Grover William Griffin Sr. and Eula Palmer Griffin of Ochlocknee. He was retired mechanic with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he served the citizens of Thomasville for many years. Mr. Griffin was married on June 29th, 1969 in Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church to Delores (Dee) Griffin who preceded him in death. They had a son Jeffery (Jeff) Griffin who also preceded them in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mavelene G. Allen and half-sister, Hilda (Sissy) Gail Hartley. Other survivors include significant other and care giver, Judy Dupree of Thomasville, brothers, Dennis Cox and Grover Griffin Jr. of Ochlocknee, Robert Griffin of Thomasville, Sister Gail Cox Lawrence of Ochlocknee, brother-in-law John Richards and his wife Patricia of Thomasville, special nephew Don Allen of Canton, special friends, Paige and Wandell Carr, Gregory “BO” Flanders, and Ricky Lewis of Ochlocknee, and Sherri McMillian of Thomasville and many other family and friends who has cared for him through the years. The family will be gathering at the home of Judy Dupree, 1796 Myrick Rd., Thomasville, GA 31792 until the funeral on Saturday.
