Services for Hershel H. Harvell will be held on Thursday, September 19th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church. Rev. Burns Willis and Rev. Jim Sapp will officiate the service. Interment will be at Laurel Hill cemetery. Born on October 14, 1937 in Climax, GA, he was the son of the late Homer Harvell and Eunice Hazel Lambert. He was married to Gloria Jean Ireland, who preceded him in death. He was a long time member of First United Methodist Church. He loved the lord and his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army. After his time in the Army, he worked for the City of Thomasville as a Fireman, and he was the owner of Harvell Construction Company. Survivors include sister, Pat Gainey of Thomasville, GA; grandson, Shane Klepacki (Lisa); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Klepacki; step-father, London Willis. His family wishes to thank the employees of Southern Pines, RES Cares, Kindred Hospice, and Rose City Health & Rehab for the care that they gave through his extended illness.
