Services for Hilda Bowman Bailey, 73, of Thomasville are at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at First Assembly of God on Smith Ave. The Rev. Herb Phinazee and Pastor Caryl Martinez will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Tommy Bailey, Jonathan Bailey, Nicholas Eaton, John Bowman, David Leach and Buddy Hayes. Mrs. Bailey died November 10, 2003 at her residence. Born May 7, 1930 in Blakely, GA. she was the daughter of the late Burtise and Bessie Bowman. She was married to T. J. Bailey who preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law. Sandra and Herb Phinazee of Callahan, Fl., sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Sandy Bailey of Thomasville, Lamar and Melinda Bailey of Sevierville, TN, daughter, Melba Bailey of Tallahassee, Fl., son Mike Bailey of Unadilla, GA.; seventeen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother, Bill Bowman of Summerfield, Fl., sister, Joyce Wright of Thomasville and uncle, Ray Baker of Thomasville. Mrs. Bailey is also survived by her church family at First Assembly of God Church where she was a charter member. The family will receive friend at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Tuesday.
