Hilda Goodin

Hilda Goodin of Thomasville passed away on March 17, 2024 at the age of 81. She was born on October 25, 1942 in Quitman, GA. She was raised in Brooks County and attended Brooks County High School, and later graduated from Lively Technical School in Tallahassee. She was a long-time member of Thomasville First Baptist Church. She worked at Thomas County Library for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. Hilda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother Charlie Strickland; her grandchildren Allison Bartlett, Joshua McCullers, and Joy McCullers; her great-grandchildren Oliver Bartlett and LeeAnn McCullers; her nephews Bud Kennedy, Gene Kennedy, Watt Strickland, and niece Elizabeth Page as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lenora Strickland, daughter Holly McCullers, husbands Bill Romine and Yank Goodin, great-granddaughter Destiny McCullers, and sister Joy Kennedy.

A service to celebrate the life of Hilda Goodin will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 2 pm at the Thomasville First Baptist Church Chapel.
