Mr. Maines died July 6, 2002 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born March 16, 1926 in Sanford, Fl., he was the son of the late Harley & Bertha Macy Maines. On August 28, 1965 in Jacksonville, Fl. he married Juanita Owens Maines who survives. He was a retired parts manager for Thomasville sales and had worked for 30 years in Jacksonville with Ford Motor Company. He was a Navy veteran having fought in World War II and Korea. Other survivors include sons, John Maines, Stephen Lane of Thomasville, daughter, Marla Maines of Weedowee, Al., son, Thomas Maines of Cleveland, Ga.; sister, Doris Geist of Bradenton, Fl.; grandchildren, Shawn Stiles, Kevin Stiles, Lisa Stiles, Brandi Maines and Kristi Dunn; great grandchildren, Drake Stiles and Tyler Livingston.
