Horace Clinton Cannon

Funeral services for Horace Clinton Cannon, 94, of Pavo will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Wooten and Rev. Ken Baker will officiate and interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Cannon passed away on October 11, 2017 at Rose City Health and Rehab. Born August 31, 1923 in Thomas County, he was the son of the late Arch and Della Knowles Cannon. On September 10, 1943, he married the late Doris Cannon in Pavo, Georgia. Mr. Cannon was a farmer his entire life and was a school bus driver for 15 years. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Cannon and his wife Dawn of Lake Park, Georgia; daughter, Diane Holt and her husband Isaac of Pavo, Georgia; grandchildren, Lisa and Scott Solana of Powder Springs, Georgia, Nancy and Byron Glover of Pavo, Georgia, and Clint and Lynze Cannon of Great Falls, Montana and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Clarence Cannon, Willie Cannon, and Purvis Cannon; and sisters, Tessie Dixon, Ellen Wilson, Effie Jordan, Vialda Noriega, and Merlie Bozeman. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Donations may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1873 Hartsmill Rd., Pavo, GA, 31778.
