Services for Hubert Wayne Ennis, 74, of Thomasville, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009, First Baptist Church, Thomasville, GA., where he is a member. The Rev. Dan Spencer and Rev. Dr. Tom Jacobs will officiate. Mr. Ennis died September 24, 2009 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born, June 16, 1935, in Coffee County, AL. He is the son of the late John Willie and Sara Lura Bryan Ennis. On Nov. 30, 1951, in Crenshaw County, AL., he married Dorothy Louise Galimore Ennis, who survives. He is a former member of the Kiwanis Club, National Guard and the Army Reserve. He worked for Publix Supermarkets for over 40 years. Other survivors include daughters, Reva Ennis Pierce of Thomasville, GA, Resa Ennis Miller and husband, Michael of Stockbridge, GA. and Renee Ennis Williams and husband, Bert of Gainesville, GA.; grandchildren, Lindsey A. Pierce, Bryan A. Pierce, Laura L. Pierce, Ashlie N. Gipson, Eric O. Gipson, Kyle B. Gipson, Blake T. Gipson, Jay R. Williams, Todd D. Williams, Brianne N. Williams and J. Mason Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Milford and Frankie Ennis of Dothan, AL.; sister, Frances Jacobs of Elba, AL.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maerine and Jim Wise of Thomasville, GA. and Glenda and Gerry Shoaf of Orlando, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, GA. 31702 or to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA. 31792. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church on Saturday, September 26, 2009 before the service. There will be a visitation held in Elba, AL. on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. ct at Hayes Funeral Home, with a graveside service following at 3:30 p.m., ct at Pine Level Cemetery.
