Graveside services for Huey W. Hewett, 80 of Thomasville will be held at 10:00AM,
Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Virginia Street. Rev. Matt Barlow will officiate. Mr. Hewett passed away December 25, 2016 at Camellia Gardens. Born July 17, 1936 in Albertville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Freeman & Leona Hewett. He was preceded in death by wife Emily Ellis Hewett. He graduated from Valdosta State College, Magna Cum Laude, earning a Masters degree in business administration. He was retired from the State of Florida and was a member of Dawson Street Methodist Church. He is survived by daughter, Catherine Hewett Quimby of Panama City, Florida; son, Matthew Hewett and wife Darby of Thomasville; grandchildren, Daniel, Josh, Hannah, and David Quimby and Conner Hewett and sister, Jo Ann H. Gibson of Statesboro, Georgia. Donations may be made to Dawson Street Methodist Church, 1132 N. Dawson St, Thomasville Ga 31792. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2016, 5-7pm, at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30AM to go in precession to the cemetery.
