Imogene Farlow Wood

Funeral services for Imogene (Jean) F. Wood, 90, of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are DaWayne Harrell, Ira Merrill, Eric Donald, Jeremy Hamilton, Curtis Davis and Jamie Baker Pastor Mike Hanscom will officiate. Ms. Wood passed away October 7, 2020 at her residence. Born May 17, 1930 in Heflin, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Farlow and Anne Lee Roberds Farlow. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Marion Lee Wood, Sr. Jean was valedictorian of her high school class in Boston, GA. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and loved sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She worked with her husband and family at the family owned Hollywood Jewelers for 54 years. She is survived by her sons, Joey T. Wood and wife Brenda of Thomasville, Tracy M. Wood and wife Maria of Ramseur, NC and Tony E. Wood of Thomasville; grandchildren, Kimberly W. Davis and husband Curtis, Leann W. Hamilton and husband Jeremy and Jamie Baker; great-grandchildren, Will Davis, Klay Davis, Trey Higginbotham and Mattison Higginbotham; brothers, Lewis Wilz Farlow and wife Paula of Ellijay and Jay T. Farlow and wife Charlotte of Metcalf; daughter-in-law, Maggie Wood of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Marion Lee Wood, Jr., and Michael Holley Wood; brother, Donald Farlow; sisters, Wilma Scruggs and Vivian Willis.
