Graveside services for infant Carlee Brooke Law, are at 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 in Ochlocknee City Cemetery. Often in life there are those that burn like a lighthouse for years to come, others are like a flickering candle content to be unseen, and yet others are like a falling star that burn quickly, brilliantly. Carlee was one of those falling stars who briefly lit up our night and showed us the wonder and awe of God?s creation. A falling star is not the end of something but rather a new beginning as countless lives glimpse it, if but for a moment, and wish. Carlee is not gone, she is now one of God?s chosen stars that guide us and inspire. Rusty and Ashley, mom and dad, you are not alone. Carlee is now your bright and beautiful star that dances in your night and show you the way. Someone once wrote, ?Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because dawn has come?? Carlee your bright morning has come and God?s love for you now knows no boundaries. As for us that are still here, we see God dimly as if through a glass, but you, you see Him face to face! Another wrote, ?Each departed loved one is now God?s magnet that attracts us to the next life?? Carlee is now our magnet drawing us to God and reminding us that eternal life is through His Son Jesus and that our time with her has not ended but has only just begun. Our prayers are with those still here on earth that often wonder what is beyond this life and now through Carlee?s light we can see more clearly. Psalm 22 verse 24 says, ?For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.? All of you that grieve today here and afar, be comforted with the knowledge that God hears you and often answers in ways we cannot now understand. As you grieve today, remember to look up; there is a bright burning star there now, a gift to you ? and heaven has gained a friend. A Falling Star: Today I wished on a falling star, for a moment it burned though it seemed so far. Lightning the way of a forgotten dream, giving me faith again to believe. Today my dream was realized, the moment I looked into your eyes. Time it seemed to just stand by, that love we shared will never die. Now it lives because of your light, that burned though brief in that night. I saw it there in the dark, I wished upon her falling star. She is survived by her parents, Rusty and Ashley Law; brother, Dalton Bradford; grandparents, Paul and April Boyd, Celise Cliett and Bill Outz and David Cliett, Jr.; great-grandparents, David, Sr. and Ruby Cliett, Wayne and Wanda Parramore, Nezzie Law and James E. and Doloris Law; aunts and uncles, Misty and Chad Taylor, Jessica and John Harper, David, III and Cheryl Cliett and Andrew Cliett; cousins, Dylan and Logan Hurst, Savannah and Jesse Taylor and Eve Cliett; several other cousins.
