Irene Rayburn White

Service for Irene Rayburn White, 87, of Thomasville, Georgia will be Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born October 27, 1929 in Dixie, Georgia, she the daughter of the late William Abner Rayburn and Ella Baughman Rayburn. She owned and operated Irene’s Fabric Store in downtown Thomasville for 20 to 25 years and was previously employed at Neel’s Department Store. Mrs. White was a member of First Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Sandra White O’Neill and husband Thomas of Destin, her son Joshua White and wife Linda of Valdosta and daughter Carol White of Cumming. Also surviving are sisters in law Merle Rayburn and Dorothy Rayburn and grandchildren, Ames O’Neil, Megan Utter, Ashley White and multiple nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death are her brothers James Rayburn, Judson Rayburn, Charles Rayburn, Edward Rayburn and Herbert Rayburn and sisters Thelma Harris, Katherine Banks and Margaret Waters and grandson Michael Devon White. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till service time on Friday at Allen & Allen.
