A Rosary Service for Irene B. Chaplar Kress, 94, of Thomasville will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2007 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Mrs. Kress died March 3 at her residence. Born February 13, 1913, in LaGrange, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Kertei Chaplar. She was married to Frank P. Kress, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kress was retired from Bendix, where she was a Gauge Crib Attendant. She was a member of St. Augustine?s Catholic Church, Rose City Travel Club and the Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Elizabeth Betty Kress; daughter, Nancy Kress; grandchildren, David & Tina Kress, Richard and Linda Kress, and Michael and Elizabeth Kress; great-grandchildren, Amber Kress and Alan Kress; sisters Irma McNulty and Rose Meecha both of Elyria, Ohio. Sisters, Agnes Kaminski, Mary Lowery, Elizabeth Kruschinski and Theresa Lowery and brothers, Frank Chaplar, Jr. and Alex Chaplar, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Augustine?s Catholic Church Building Fund, 211 N. Pinetree Blvd., Thomasville, Ga. 31792 or to a charity of choice.
