Services for J. L. Baggett of Thomasville are at 10:00AM of Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Burgess will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Vernon Jackson, Vernon Jackson, Jr., Buddy Skinner, Tony Such, Greg Mirick and Jason Mirick. Mr. Baggett died July 12 in Tallahassee, FL. Born April 11, 1938 in Sales City, GA, he was the son of the late Floyd William and Carrie Lee Hatcher Baggett. On September 5, 1980 in Virginia he married Emma Dolly Rockwell who survives. Mr. Baggett was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of New Shiloh Baptist Church and was a Boiler Tech. Other survivors include daughter, Samantha Baggett, daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Melton Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Gregory Bruce, daughter, Linda Derry, sister, Mollie Mirick all of Thomasville, grandchildren, James Baggett, Timmy Smith, Donald Such and John Such and numerous nieces and nephews.
