Services for Jack Lindberg Harvell, 80, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2008, at Parkway Church of God. Rev. Richard Dobson and Rev. Scott Harvell will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Harvell died March 12 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born July 22, 1927, in Thomas County, he was the son of the late John Henry Harvell and Mary Elizabeth Hall Cone. On January 23, 1949, in Thomasville, he married Mary Ellen Bufford Harvell, who survives. He was a retired paint contractor and a member of Parkway Church of God. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bobby L. and Lynnette Pearce Harvell of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Harvell and Charles M. Carter of Ochlocknee; daughter, Virginia Harvell of Coolidge; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren. Mr. Harvell was preceded in death by sons, Donald Roy Harvell and Jerry Lee Harvell; sister, Mary Neal Harvell Law; and step-father, Tommy "Tom" Cone.
