Jack Prevatt

Jackie (Jack) was born to Frank O. Prevatt & Edythe Hunton Prevatt on January 12, 1950. Jack, age 75, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on March 20, 2025. He graduated from Southwest Miami High School in Miami, FL. Jack worked as a floor supervisor at Cives Steel Company for 37 years. He just celebrated his 49th year of marriage to his wife, Marianne. Over the years, he has loved golfing, hunting, fishing, the Georgia Bulldogs (GO DAWGS!), and family time. Survivors include his wife Marianne Robertson Prevatt of Thomasville; daughter Miranda Tavolieri (Nathan) of Evans, GA; son Michael Prevatt (Lindy) of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren Samuel, Joshua, Isaac, Rebecca, and Haddie; brother Ted (Debbie) Prevatt of Mobile, AL; sister-in-law Geri Prevatt of Sacramento, CA; best friend Dr. Tim Singletary (Karey). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Franklin Prevatt of Sacramento, CA. Visitation for Jack Prevatt will be held at 10 am at Dawson Street Baptist Church on Saturday, March 29. The funeral will follow at 11, followed by a family graveside burial.
