Jack T. Chastain, Sr.

Services for Jack T. Chastain, Sr., 82, of Thomasville will be at 3:00PM, Sunday, June 9, 2002 at First Baptist Church where he was a member. Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Chastain died June 7, 2002 at his residence. Born April 1, 1920 in Thomasville he was the son on the late Arthur T. & Aileen Wade Chastain. On Jan. 2, 1945 in Thomasville he married Barbara Purcell Chastain who preceded him in death on October 7, 2001. Mr. Chastain was a photographer and a Army Air Force veteran. Survivors include son, Jack T. Chastain, Jr., daughter, Gloria C. White of Thomasville, daughter, Diane C. Moore of Cairo, daughter, Karen C. Brookerd and son, Dickie Chastain of Thomasville, sisters, Jo Smallwood, Evelyn Bellamy of Thomasville, brother, Dr. Phillip Chastain of Miami, Fl., grandchildren,Amie Johnson, Mandy Chastain, Chuck White, Chris White, Kimberly Willis, Curt Cooper, Jamie Sumner, Ali Brookerd & Blake Chastain. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Sumner, brother, Wade Chastain and sisters, Minnie Franklin, Madie Powell and Vivian Willis. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home from 6-8PM on Saturday. Memorial may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, Ga. 31792.
