Funeral service for Jacob Emory Owens will be Tuesday, May 17th at 12pm at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Jacob Emory Owens passed on Saturday, May 14th, 2022. He was born on January 11, 1939, to the late Warren Major and Emily Ellie Whiddon Owens. Jacob graduated from Pavo High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Army. He drove trucks for Moore and Porter for over 20 years. Jacob was a hard worker and his life was trucking. Survivors include daughter Pamela Rehberg-Hayes (Howard); grandchildren Chris David McClelland and William Owen Rehberg; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Lucille Hunter (Frank) and Debbie McDougale; sister-in-law Gladys Owens; and live-in caregiver Lisa Henninger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eva Lorene Owens, daughter Teresa McClelland, sister Emily Clara Atkinson and brothers Austin "Peewee" Owens and William Jarrell Owens. A visitation will be held an hour prior to service.
